There are some details in my life that are very messy and ugly. They are not sin related, no one needs to repent...but oh man is it hard to imagine that God is delighting in those details. In fact, to believe that might shake my faith to the core...more than it's already been shaken. I absolutely believe he directs our steps...but sometimes the path is so overgrown and messy, it's hard to see where to take the next step...in fact, that reminds me of this amazing quote by Elizabeth Elliot. Here is is referring to what she learned about walking through the jungles of Ecuador:<br /> “Every step of faith is a step of faith. In some places the logs were submerged in mud. Finding one to put your foot on did not make it easier to find the next. Each step was a decision, but to make it a problem would have halted progress all together…You had to keep moving. Decisions therefore, had to be snap decisions. If we had let each step be a problem, to be paused and pondered over, we’d still be there. If a decision turned out to be the wrong one, which it often seemed to be, you simply pulled yourself out and kept on.”Renee from A Baker's Dozenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15550544409184794381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11930532.post-23900644330744639142016-04-28T10:22:41.292-05:002016-04-28T10:22:41.292-05:00I love reading your blog!
