Mom ( or Dad!) Survey...

So, here's my Parenting Question for the day...

I am going to need to get Ransom up an hour ahead of schedule on Sunday and on Tuesday....should I just go ahead and get him up an hour early on Monday too? On one hand I do not want to confuse the kid more than I already am...on the other hand I don't want to start a trend.  So, to sum up...do you think I should or should not get Ransom up an hour early on Monday too.

Comment away!

Let him sleep! Three days makes a habit for a baby. (I wish it was that easy for me.) If you just wake him up Sun/Tue, he'll probably stick with his normal wake up time. If you add in Monday, you both might be getting an hour less sleep.

I would just let him sleep. If a child is sleeping, unless you HAVE to get them up for something (your schedule, medicine, etc etc) my #1 rule is to always let them sleep. Eden has surprised me with late naps and STILL going to bed on time, and then even sleeping in the next day. Sleep begets sleep- it's true with little babies as hard as it is to believe. Especially if you're traveling- more sleep=happier baby.

I agree; let him sleep! If my boys get up earlier just a few times, it becomes a habit!

I'm with the others... let that baby sleep! Your friend Katie is 100% right -- with babies sleeping begets more, and BETTER sleep. The nights when my children go to bed early, they sleep in later in the morning and take better naps the following day. Our #1 rule in our house is also to let the babies sleep as long as they need to when we don't have anywhere to be. It makes for a much more happy baby and mommy!
